How OurTurn works
Five steps from sign-in to a finished story you can hold in your hands.
Create your space
Sign in with your email and create a couple. Give your writing partnership a name — something meaningful to both of you. Then invite your partner with a simple link.
Start a story
Choose a title and a writing mode. Normal for romantic storytelling, MIM for sensual writing with soft limits, or CFEM for explicit intimacy with full consent structure. The mode is locked once the story begins.
Take turns writing
One partner writes a turn — a paragraph, a page, whatever feels right. When they submit, the other partner gets notified. Turns alternate automatically. There's no rush; write when inspiration strikes.
Let AI help (if you want)
Stuck on the next line? AI can suggest starters, narrative directions, or gentle rewrites. In intimate modes, it detects escalation readiness and suggests within your agreed boundaries. AI never writes for you.
Finish and keep
When your story feels complete, either partner can close the book. Export it as a beautifully typeset HTML or PDF — a keepsake of what you created together. Optionally, AI polishes grammar and flow.

Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every couple gets 14 days free — no credit card required. After that, plans start at $9/month per couple. There are no ads, ever.
Do I need to download an app?
No. OurTurn is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Visit the site, tap 'Add to Home Screen', and it works like a native app — with offline support and push notifications.
Can anyone read our stories?
No. Stories are private to the couple. There are no public profiles, no feeds, and no way for anyone else to access your content. Privacy is enforced server-side.
What are the writing modes?
Normal mode is for romantic and creative writing. MIM (Middle Intimacy Mode) allows sensual writing with soft content limits. CFEM (Consent-First Explicit Mode) enables explicit intimacy with full consent structure, per-partner boundaries, and revocable acceptance.
Can we invite other people to write with us?
Yes. OurTurn supports multi-participant stories — invite a third person (Throuple mode) or another couple (Couples mode) for 3-way or 4-way turn rotation.
What does the AI do?
AI is assistive only. It suggests starters, narrative directions, rewrites, and recaps. In CFEM mode, it can detect escalation readiness and suggest new acts within agreed boundaries. AI never writes turns for you and never overrides boundaries.
